Basic steps for computer programming:

There are five basic steps for computer programming which are generally used: The five basic steps are as follows:

  1. Initialization: Most of the programs requires certain events to take place before the execution of program actually begins. The initialization step might be the preliminary action required by a program. Eg: char str[25], int a, and etc.
  2. Input: Input is the step responsible for collecting of the data or instruction that are required by program to accomplish certain tasks. The data are taken by computer either by reading from the disk data file or by the user’s keyword.
  3. Processing: The step which is responsible for transforming data from one form to another form is the known as processing. There are many ways to process the data to get the desired output.
  4. Output:Output step responsible for displaying the result of input after processing. Eg: printf(“Hello World!, this is my first class.”).
  5. Shut Down: This step is the responsible for the ending of the programs . The shutdown is the essential step that program requires after the output step.
